ins Creed: Anyone else think subject 16 is Altair?

I see exactly what your talking about with the Altair/Apple/Immortality thing and it does make sense, but I believe it was said somewhere in the game (AC1 or 2) that Subject 16 is/was Asian, and Altair is/was Middle Eastern, so no, Subject 16 is not Altair.
