Hp psc all in one printer prints e-m w out 3-4 alph.letters in each sentence. how do I correct ths problem?

windows xp with hp psc printer. e-mail messages are printed without 3-4 alph.letters in each sentence. How do I correct this wide margin or what ever is causing me to loose my complete message. HP won't answer by computer. There is no listing of such a problem in their "help". Changing Word Pad doesn't make any difference. Where are the margins in printing of e-mail? I hate to thoss the hp but I need my messages. And a computer tech. costs me too much.
